ABOUT THE ARTIST

queenstown-makeup-lesson

Hi! I'm Genevieve, but most people call me G... 😊

I truly believe I was destined to become a makeup artist. With a mum as a makeup artist and a sister as a model, I grew up around cosmetics and beauty products. I was always that kid in school getting told off for wearing too much makeup and have never been afraid of doing crazy things with my hair!

After spending many years doing makeup for friends and family I finally decided I wanted to further develop my skills. I got accepted into The Makeup School in Ponsonby, Auckland and very quickly realised I didn't know as much about being a makeup artist as I thought I did! 😅 Initially I thought I'd just do the course for my own personal interest rather than turning it into a career, but by the time I finished and received my qualification I wanted to be doing makeup all the time!

I love sitting down with a client and working together with them to create a makeup look they love for their special day or event, from scrolling through their Pinterest inspiration and providing them with recommendations on what makeup styles would best suit their facial features, to bringing the whole look together and seeing the buzz my clients get when they see the finished makeup.

When I'm not doing makeup, I'm learning about new makeup and skincare products, and keeping up to date with the latest fashion and beauty trends.
